I want to know why certain friends refer to their spouses and/or children as "my wife/husband" or "my son/daughter" when I personally know their spouses and children. I know their names and we've even hung out together. Why do this? I will know who you're talking about if you say, "Jolene and I are going to dinner tonight." I also want to know why I see pregnant women always rubbing their belly. What's up with that?! The world continues to baffle me.
